Just as they say a picture paints a thousand words, so too does music. Last week I had the pleasure of enjoying a Smooth Jazz Cruise in New York City and hearing Najee in concert. The weather was actually pretty scary, it was a heavy rainstorm and the water was choppy. When I took this sail last year the weather was so beautiful, I spent the entire sail out on deck, this time because of the weather I was forced to remain indoors. And it turned out to be such a pleasure as it gave me the chance to meet great people at my table! In fact the pictures I'm sharing with you today were taken by Dwayne McCain, one of the nice people I had a chance to meet. I sat next to him and his lovely wife Gail, and the cruise literally flew by, great music and great conversation turned an otherwise grey day into a fabulous evening!
I love the picture of Najee biting his lip, great musicians and great dancers will tell you that's the true sign that they are really in the moment!
I want to thank Smooth Jazz for collaborating with Ascending Butterfly to allow not only me to enjoy their sails, but readers too, in fact stay tuned, we have a few more surprises up our sleeves for this year!
I also want to thank the McCain's for the great company and conversation and for allowing me to share these shots for Wordless Wednesday this week! Let's just say after comparing their shots to mine, I really need a new camera!

FTC Disclosure: This is NOT a paid post. I love Smooth Jazz Cruises, they are an annual part of my summers in NYC and I am always happy to share NYC based events and happenings with my readers!
