{Hot #GIVEAWAY Alert!} I am going to see @OnTheTownNYC and I want to treat YOU to a night #OnTheTown too!

If you follow our 'Butterfly-in-Chief" via Twitter (@Tracy_Iglesias), you probably caught her live Tweets during the Tony Awards.

Live tweeting during award shows, particularly those that involve Music is definitely my jam! Being based in New York City affords me the privilege of having access to Broadway and the most amazing live theater on the planet! The love of the theater was instilled in me by my mom, and if I weren't so shy I may have pursued stage acting as a career myself.

One of the moments from the Tony Awards that stood out was seeing Tony Yazbeck (TONY Award Nominee for Leading Actor in a Musical) from the Musical "On The Town" present flowers to Anna Wintour, Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue. I'm sure she is probably more of a 'long stemmed roses' type, but nonetheless this moment is exactly what I love about Award Shows, those spontaneous, silly, funny moments that can't be recreated or repeated.

In case you missed it, here is the YouTube Video of the performance from CBS Television (You're Welcome!):

ABOUT:

Join three sailors with only 24 hour shore leave in New York as they are swept off their feet by three beautiful New York women for one amazing night ON THE TOWN.

On the Town was also a TONY Award Nominee in the Best Revival of a Musical, their Director, John Rando was nominated for Best Director of a Musical, and Joshua Bergasse, Choreographer, almost nabbed a nomination for Best Choreography.

This show received four Tony Award Nominations for 2015 so to say that I am 'excited' to it, is definitely an understatement!

WIN IT:

One lucky butterfly and the guest of his/her choice are going to enjoy a night On The Town with a pair of tickets to the JUNE 23rd 7pm peformance of the Tony Award Nominated show that Ben Brantley of The New York Times calls "THE BEST MUSICAL OF THE YEAR"!

  1. I love watching theater shows but we rarely go to one because of availability (we're always busy with work and house chores) and the cost of the tickets. So most of the time, we just watch the show via YouTube (thanks for sharing the performance). I'd be thrilled to watch the best musical of the year. :)

  3. Being New York born and bred, your post excites me!
I STILL remember the first Broadway play I saw starring Tony Roberts and always appreciated what Tony Randall dedicated his life to with the arts to ensure future generation of children would be exposed to the theater and arts in NYC!

  4. On the Town is definitely on my list of shows to see! We live on the Island, so are able to go in and see shows frequently. We just did Cinderella with my daughter and she loved it!

  8. This is a great giveaway. But June 23 is my daughter's birthday so I wouldn't be able to make it. I'm not so sure about Anna Wintour being a long stem roses girl. I'll bet she has a playful side.

  9. If this was two days earlier, I would so be entering!! I am heading to New York City next week and staying for a few days. I hope to head to a Broadway show, and I actually hadn't heard of this one before. I will have to check it out when I'm in town and see if I can get tickets!

  10. I have heard great things about this show. Being a New Yorker it is sad my husband and I don't get out to Broadway as often as we would like to. Those days are long gone since we have littles. Entering to win, in hopes a win would motivate us to reinvent date night! Thank you for the opportunity.

  11. I would go with my mother to see this show most likely. Unless she was working and then I would probably try to find a friend to go with.

  12. I love watching theater shows. I think that theater actors and actresses are way better than those on movies because it is live.
