  1. I don't really make wishes. I do, however, constantly speak to the universe and ask for continued well-being for my family.

    1. @Colleen It is important to speak well over our health and families. :-)

  2. Making wishes while blowing out candles on a birthday cake or while breaking a wishbone are two that I like to do. I have once or twice made wishes while tossing coins into a wishing well.

    1. @Vera - I haven't done the wishing well or fountain in a LONG time, I think I need a trip to Trevi Fountain.

"According to Roman lore, throwing one, two or three coins into the Trevi, with your right hand over your left shoulder ensures you'll return to Rome; you'll fall in love with an attractive Roman; and you'll marry that same Roman."

  3. I loved all the superstitions and I have wished on all of them at one time or another. I will celebrate this day by wishing good health for my family and friends.

    1. @Melissa I have also! I definitely used National Wish Day as an incentive to keep sending my dreams and wishes out into the Universe.

  4. My wishes are secret!! I make a wish just by saying it to myself. I may blow a flower if I find one.

    1. @Kim Nothing wrong with playing cards close to the vest at all. I love the representation of dandelion flowers releasing our wishes and dreams out into the Universe!

      Have a wish filled day.

  5. I don't really wish but I do try and focus on gratitude and positive thoughts. If I had one wish it would be for someone to find a "cure" for those who suffer from mental illness.

    1. @Pam I have kept a Gratitude Journal for as long as I can remember. And founded this Empowerment Community in 2008 to find my positive tribe.

I hope that 'cure' comes soon, in the meantime the best thing anyone can do is take away the stigma/shame that is often attached to it.

  6. Oh gosh I don't really have a favourite time to make a wish, sometimes they just pop out of me when I am least expecting it.

    1. @Sarah Those are the best ones. I feel the same way about prayer, we often recite prayers we were taught and those are great, but I think those times we speak from our heart it is way more powerful. Keep Wishing! :)

  7. When I was younger, my favorite way to wish was blowing out a candle, or wishing on a star. Now, I just pray instead of wishing.

    1. @Jaredamy I pray too, wishing never took prayers place, just enhances it. I remember being told to wish on the first star you see in the night sky and I still do it to this day! :-)

  8. I always make a wish when blowing on dandelions. My current wish is to travel to as many beautiful places as possible before I can no longer care for myself.

    1. @Theresa I haven't made a wish on a dandelion since I was a child, the next time I see one I am totally doing it!

Is everything OK health wise? Sending healing vibrational energy your way.

  9. It's so funny that I've just started reading up on numerology because I noticed I've been seeing a lot of repeated numbers (like the 11:11) you mentioned here. So what are the odds I get to encounter your post? So hey, cheers to making you and me's wishes coming true! lol

    1. @Jocelyn Came across this via a google search:

"According to Numerology, the number 11 is the link between the mortal and the immortal; which explains the idea that when the clock strikes 11:11, a window to heaven opens up to grant wishes."

So the next time you find yourself aware of 11:11 on the clock or see the number in passing like a building number or bus number or on a license plate, make a wish - the Universe is telling you that it is listening! :-)

  10. Love that you're giving the universe some options! A powerball winner or anything that ends with me being independently wealthy works for me!

    1. @Melanie Even if the Powerball thing does happen I would never stop 'working' I am just hard wired to be as driven as I can. But it would make life easier and allow for way more unforgettable vacations.

I have used all those ways to make a wish. Some were granted, some were not. Its okay. For now, I am wishing and praying for total healing for my mom who has cancer.
