(Not So) {#WordlessWednesday} Shh! Don't tell anyone but @SheaMoisture was my favorite booth at #BlogHer15

One of the best things about Blogging Conferences is connecting with brands, and BlogHer will always win for sheer volume and variety that's a given, they do it bigger! But for me when I can finally connect with a brand that I already love and really use on the regular it's a win/win.

Well first, it's a sort of smack my forehead and think 'DOH! Why haven't I ever reached out to them before?'

BlogHer15 gave me that moment and it was with a brand that I first became aware of because they were gift/swag bag inclusions multiple times at Beauty Events I have attended here in New York City throughout the years. But they weren't at the actual events. I fell in love with each of the Shea Moisture products I had the pleasure of trying out. So when I happened upon them in the expo hall of the Hilton I may have actually squealed with girlish delight (Hey! Don't judge me! It's the little things in life that excite me!)

Their range is super diverse and it was during BlogHer15 that I discovered in addition to the hair and body care products that I have grown to love, they make makeup/cosmetics as well.

I got my makeup done, and I discovered that I still need more practice in the fine art of contouring but I loved the products that were used on me and I also waited to get my hair done. The hairstylist took one look at my hair and said my ends 'were a hot mess' (they were) and told me to return the next day so he could trim them.

And I did.

And I got my first ever haircut (not just a blow out, flat iron or hair touch up) on a tradeshow floor, that was a first for me! And I have to say I absolutely LOVED the results! I have fine hair so if I over product it can look greasy at the root but the ends will still look dry because it's also frizz prone. I have to be careful not to let my hair 'bulk up' too much and when I get a quality cut I can feel the difference, I have fine hair but a lot of of it, so after it's well cut, my whole head sort of feels 'lighter' and of course feels smoother and silkier (no matter how hard I try I have never been able to replicate a hair stylist blow out at home!).

Their booth was buzzing, of course because the products are really THAT good, but they also had a live Graffiti Artist doing wall art for them at the booth, the mural was created by Seb Gorey and you can read more about the mural that was created HERE.

I left that booth feeling like a million bucks, or at least like a shinier penny that's for sure! Makeup CHECK. Hair cut and styled, CHECK. Samples of my favorite products, CHECK PLUS PLUS.

They need to put a ring on it and make me an official ambassador, #JustSayin

Here is a photo of me in front of the mural wall:

MY TAKE:

Shh! Don't tell anyone but theirs was my favorite booth at BlogHer15. They were super welcoming, took the time to LISTEN not just try and sell, and their hair and makeup artist were totally on fleek. You know I only pause for mascot photos and avoid direct on photos of myself where possible (you all know I don't fall for 'step and repeats'), so for me to pose by myself with no mascot in site is total brand love! And while it's a small thank you in comparison for how good they made me feel, I hope they know just how much this particular blogger feels appreciative of the efforts they took into keeping up that energy and working hard to make sure everyone left their booth feeling beautiful. The hooded cardigan and top I am wearing are by MiracleSuit and the jeans are by Silver Jeans!

I want to add that Shea Moisture body scrubs are the BOMB, and I can't stress enough that their hair care products are good for ALL hair types!

Have you tried Shea Moisture Products yet? If so, which is your fave? What is your go to haircare brand?

Highlights from the 2014 Fashion Forward Conference in New York City! @fashforwardconf #FashForward

Fashion Forward Conference logo

The Fashion Forward Conference is organized by  and momtrends.

I am not a mom but I absolutely love their motto:

"The Fashion Forward Conference aims to to bring aspirational and attainable fashion and style to real moms – after all why should women lose their sense of style just because they became moms…"
Many of you had the chance to follow my live tweets and I posted quite a few pictures via instagram as well, but I also wanted to do a full recap and include some hi res photos and video too.

Staying healthy and keeping hydrated couldn't be easier with Kevita Sparkling Probiotic Drinks, I got to try out a few flavors during the Fashion Forward Conference and really like these!

You guys know just how much I love Dyson, and I was happy to see them again at The Fashion Forward Conference in New York City! I have reviewed both the DC65 and the DC44 by Dyson and they are both amazing!

CVS Gold Emblem Abound Snacks
Gold Emblem Abound Snacks are sold at CVS

CVS also helped to keep up our energy with their Gold Emblem Abound Snacks! There were Bars and Trail Mix and they were both really good! (These would be a great addition to some of my health monthly subscription boxes!) If you are a blogger and like me maintain your blog during 'off' hours, keeping these in stock instead of greasy chips or chocolate might be a great way to keep your energy up while writing and not packing on the pounds from snacking so late!

Dansko Shoes
Dansko Shoes

I adore animal prints, so needless to say these shoes by Dansko caught my eye!

CAbi makes selling social with a personal shopping experience and sought after home based Career Opportunity, needless to say I honed in on the Animal Print Leggings!

Miraclesuit at Fashion Forward Conference in NYC
Miraclesuit at Fashion Forward Conference in NYC

I met the team at Miraclesuit earlier in the year at a Trendy Travel event and was lucky enough to win their raffle for a new swimsuit! I wore that suit this summer to Atlantic City (HERE is a post with me wearing it), and I just love it! Well guess what? Lightening can strike twice my friends as I won the raffle for Miraclesuit AGAIN at Fashion Forward! (I haven't picked out my prize yet but you will see it when I do!)

Here is a peek inside one a Boodle Box (I love that TAI Bracelet and the bag as those are MY initials!!!)

I am a huge fan of subscription box services and was introduced to one I was not yet familiar with at Fashion Forward - the Boodle Box, a subscription box service for girls and teens loaded with Accessories and Jewelry that are fab and age appropriate! I'm thinking my nieces would LOVE these!

End of the adult fashion show (there was one for the little ones as well) with all the models, brands being worn by the models included: CAbi, Dansko, Miraclesuit, J. Jill, Gwynnie Bee, Heucy, Talbots, Alex and Ani and Mark by Avon.

My Take:

I have been attending Fashion Forward since it's inception and it has been wonderful to see it grow and evolve. No two have been alike, and the speakers are always phenomenal! I loved the Fashion featured, totally functional and perfect for life - while runway fashion during Fashion Week here in New York City is always fun to look at, not all of it really works in my daily life, so it's nice to see a Fashion show that features clothes for women of ALL shapes and sizes and all walks of life. I loved discovering healthy goods too like Kelvita and Gold Emblem Abound, I hadn't heard of them before this, but will be going out to purchase these now. (I keep telling brands that sponsoring conferences and local events too are always smart, when women are passionate about something we ALWAYS share!). From the new brands now on my radar and seeing new stuff from brands I already know and love, no two Fashion Forward conferences are ever the same and that's exactly why I love them!

Is there a brand above that's new to you butterfly? Which would you most like to try? (Who knows, if there is a brand you really love maybe we can get them to come back and do something fun for readers!)
