Happy Labor Day! What are YOU doing this weekend?

Wishing all my butterflies, a safe, healthy and very happy Labor Day Weekend. If you are off Monday, I hope you are doing something fun, and if you are working on Labor Day, THANK YOU for your service, sometimes we just need to hear it! :)

I for one will be working through the weekend trying to get myself more caught up! On my agenda over 5,000 emails to tackle, Re-doing my whole Media Kit, reaching out to the first responders of our new 'inspiration corner' special feature and several promos I need to take photos for, what's on your agenda for the long weekend?

Wishing you a Butterfly Sighting!

Happy Labor Day Weekend Butterflies!

Today I spent a wonderful Friday visiting Times Square in New York City and enjoying the Discovery Times Square Women of Pompeii Exhibit with my Mom and my Aunt, followed by lunch which was followed by Juniors Cheesecake, my labor day weekend is off to a great start, and I'm wishing you a weekend filled with great memories as well! (If you haven't seen the exhibit, this is the LAST weekend to do so, and because it's the last wekend, they are offering extended hours! Don't miss it, especially if you are not traveling and you are staying in the city, and if you are here visiting, you should definitely check it out!)

What are your plans for the labor day weekend?

Happy Labor Day - Today's Words of Inspiration - Let's Give!

Happy Labor Day Butterflies! I hope that everyone who has the day off is making the most of it, and those of you who are at work today, THANK YOU! Your labor is the foundation that America is built upon. Hard work, grit, effort! Your efforts aren't going un-noticed, even if it may feel that way right now!

In the spirit of inspiration, I just thought I'd remind everyone that The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon is on today (New Yorkers can catch it on Channel 9 - WWOR TV, others please check your local listings!). And you know how much I love 'inspiration in action', so today, let's help Jerry Lewis help those with neuromuscular disease to find a cure!

Your donations equal hope, even if you don't have anyone with Muscular Dystrophy in your family, donate in the name of a healthy child in your life as a way of saying thank you for your blessings of a healthy family. If you have someone affected or have lost someone to the disease, donate in their name.

You can even pledge online at https://secure.mdausa.org/donate/  -Note this is a SECURE server, you can feel confident in making your pledge online! Remember, No amount is too small!

You can also participate in the online auction and bid on great items, including vacations, HERE - You can even bid on cool General Hospital items like signed photos as well as a cabin on the 2011 Soap Cruise! I'm tempted to bid on that one myself! (You know I couldn't resist letting you know about it, since I was elected as General Hospital Mom Brand Ambassador this year!) Labor Day offers us a chance to give back!

Use 'Today's Words of Inspiration' as a breathing meditation to still your mind, quiet your thoughts and bring in positive energy. As you inhale bring in only positive energy by saying in your mind, I breathe in positive energy (or you can say creative energy if that is what you wish to create more of) and as you exhale, Affirm out loud today 'I will put inspiration in action today and give from the heart!'

Remember, attitude really does determine altitude.

Today's Words of Inspiration - Happy Labor Day Weekend!

There is power, there is power in a band of working men, when they stand, hand in hand. That’s a power, that’s a power that must rule in every land - Joe Hill

Organizer, Industrial Pioneer, there are tons of descriptions for Joe Hill, but one thing that can't be refuted is that he beleived in the power of work, hard work, a hard days work for an honest days pay.

While Traditionally, Labor Day is celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of the summer, with forms of celebration including picnics, barbecues, fireworks displays, water sports, and public art events, its origins are much more politically based. Now, families with school-age children take it as the last chance to travel before the end of summer recess!

What one word description can be placed under your picture to describe you? I'd like to think mine would be 'motivator'

Like Joe, I have a strong work ethic, I'm not afraid to work hard, pitch in, and get the job done.

It's a great weekend to assess 'labor' in the literal and figurative sense in your life. What role do your labors play in shaping who you are? Do you think what you labor at is WHO you are or WHAT you do? Why?

Do you share the same work ethic as your parents or your grand-parents?

The 'labors' put down by our Grand-Parents paved the way for our Parents, and their labors made our path a bit easier, what labors can you make to make the road that much easier for your children?

Use 'Today's Words of Inspiration' as a breathing meditation to still your mind, quiet your thoughts and bring in positive energy. As you inhale bring in only positive energy by saying in your mind, I breathe in positive energy (or you can say creative energy if that is what you wish to create more of) and as you exhale, Affirm out loud today 'I will put thought and motivation into all of my labors!'

Spend some time each day enjoying focused breathing AND soul guided meditative visualization, in doing so, you can bring about profound and powerful changes in your life.

Visualize yourself manifesting something unique, guided by universal forces that emerge spontaneously from within your soul. Do this at least twice today and see how by taking a moment away from the hectic pace and breathing in positive energy and affirming what you wish to create, your thinking will become different.

Remember, attitude really does determine altitude.
