For those of you that don't want to battle the malls, have some' hard to shop for's' on your list or just need some new gift ideas, I always say you can't possibly go wrong with the gift of leather! And I have a favorite trusted source for my Leather purchases. I have been shopping Wilson's Leather since my teens. My first job during my high school years allowed me to indulge myself in a few luxury loves of mine like Fashion/Leather and a Wilson's Leather Handbag was actually my very first purchase!

I still shop them to this day online (and in store) and was a loyal consumer way before working with them now on collaborations on my blog. You know I immediately put these to the test and used them with my smartphone to test out how easy it would be to use applications with the gloves and I'm happy to report I was able to open apps, take pictures and never had to remove my gloves at all, I love that the top is red leather and the underside is black so you also get the bonus of a nice 'color blocking' effect, tres trendy!

Marc New York Center Zip High Collar Leather Scuba in Tabacco

This scuba has clean lines and is deceptively simple, it's perfect to throw on top of your dress pants for work, and then use it again on the weekend thrown over your jeans with a cute dress boot. The full length zipper is hidden by a full-snap placket and it boasts a high scuba collar which you can just as easily wear down, the zippered cuffs are a super cute detail and give your sleeve a little more breathing room which is great when you are running errands or want a more casual look. The Two Front hand Pockets actually have a snap closure if you need to put something in them you have a little extra security, it also has a fully lined interior with one open pocket. MY TAKE:

I received the Touch Smart Gloves and Andrew Marc/Marc New York Leather Scuba Jacket for Editorial Consideration. I already live in Wilsons Leather and the gloves and Scuba jacket blended right into my wardrobe like I have always owned them. (I'm obsessing over the Handbag so I might just have to pick that one up this weekend!)

Wilsons Leather is always soft and supple, holds up really well, and most importantly butterflies, their customer service is top notch, that I can personally attest to.I do most of my shopping online now, but I will admit Wilson's is like an old friend to me and I can never pass by their brick and mortar locations without stopping in. (Random visits to the store always result in un-expected purchases, but I never have any regrets!). I HIGHLY recommend Wilson's Leather, with literally something for everyone, you can easily knock off your entire list, not to mention they offer a full range of sizing so you are very likely going to find something you love in your size in stock.

@Engadget #ExpandNY 2013 - Recap of #Technology #Tradeshow and Photo Highlights!

My inner tech geek was in 'tech-vana' at Engadget's #ExpandNY Conference in New York City. Like most conferences I can tell you there will be more detailed partnerships with the brands I met in upcoming posts, but I wanted to share with you an overview, recap and photo highlights because I know you guys love tech as much as I do!

My day started in the Press Area checking out the Insert Coin Semi-Finalists who all discussed their entries/products:

Verizon's unique approach to sharing the results of their gaming survey by posting them on old school gaming cartridges, definitely got everyone's attention! And YES Buffering is PAINFUL. It's a slow, painful state that my cable ISP puts me through often...

Not that you would ever want this to happen, but it's good to know you are covered if it does!

3D Printing - I will be creating and printing BUTTERFLIES all day - like you had to ask right?

Gogo Inflight Internet Booth at Engadget ExpandNY 2013 Technology Tradeshow - I haven't had the pleasure of trying them out yet in flight, and sadly the rep wasn't there when I passed by, but I loved the airline seats in their booth so I snapped a shot!

#tagboard Booth at Engadget ExpandNY 2013 Technology Tradeshow - This is a cross-network hashtag-powered social hub live collection of social media posted hashtags arranged in a visual mosaic, you can do more than just view social posts on a tagboard, you can also engage with them. Dare I say, they are putting the social back in well.....SOCIAL?

I swear it was daylight when I entered, and of course pitch black out when I left! I can literally get absorbed for hours when it comes to all things TECH!

There was drawing on walls in a Blacklight room during the Engadget ExpandNY 2013 Technology Tradeshow After Party - If you think Geeks don't know how to party I can tell you that you are very wrong, but what happens at the After Party, Stays at the After Party - or I may have been sworn to secrecy, so there won't be many pictures (that doesn't mean I didn't take many though, tee hee!)

The final product! I was born in the year of the boar (little known trivia), but of course I drew a butterfly!

With me being "The Official Twitter Party DJ" you know I take pictures of DJ's everywhere I go so needless to say that  the Engadget ExpandNY 2013 Technology Tradeshow After Party 

My Take:

I love technology tradeshows, you get to see the newest and best and watch the newer technology put your current stuff to shame! I will say I was really leaning toward the Audio, but aside from Writing and Travel, Music is definitely up there when it comes to being a passion of mine. I enjoyed Engadget and of course recapping it is putting me in a CES state of mind.....

If you haven't been battered with snow yet, consider yourself lucky! The snow hasn't been cleared yet and we are expecting yet more snow this week! I'm a Mass Transit Commuter and take an Express Bus in and out of the City each day, which means standing at a bus shelter in all kinds of weather including winter winds. Then the heating indoors finishes totally drying out my skin. It's definitely NOT a pretty picture!

Keeping my skin hydrated is not always so easy! My skin ends up very dry in winter whether I'm indoors or outdoors. During the day I'll re-apply lotion after washing my hands, but I like using something a bit thicker at night. Especially on hands, elbows, knees and feet. With feet I like to put on something really hydrating and then put on sleep socks so it can really penetrate, and one of the products I am using right now is one I thought I should put on your radar.

What does your 2013 Facebook year in review look like?

Was it all your shiniest moments of the year?

Where there moments it highlighted that you would just as soon forget?

As a Life/Career Coach and Social Media Consultant, I find my annual Credit Card Statement that highlights my 'major' purchases of the year (both personal and professional) interesting, I also find the Facebook Year in review a reminder to stock of the events of the year that is ending, to make changes for the year that lies ahead.

If your highlights were work related, do you still feel passionate about what you do?

If they were all personal do you feel you shared too much or too little of yourself with your friends and family?

I personally have always felt mixed about Facebook, and only joined it as an additional promotional vehicle for Ascending Butterfly, were it not for blogging it's a Social Media Platform I probably would never have joined at all.
