  1. It really depends how much information they are looking for in my case. If it's just a quick question, I don't mind, but if it's going to take me an hour to answer all their questions, forget about it.

  2. It depends on who wants to pick my brain. Great conversations can be had with friends that want to get some advice. But I'd like brands to pay me.

  3. Why I think Ascendingbutterfly has Butterflys on the brain lol.
All kidding aside I say Bravo,It's a shame that companies feel they can take advantage of the very bloggers that they should treat fairly after all they need them to get their products into the homes of their would be clients .

  4. This is a great one! As a VA, my brain gets picked almost as much as it gets paid. I don't really mind though. I do my fair share of brain picking as well.

  5. It depends who it is and what kind of relationship we have. It's such a risk, but there are a few people I'll share with.

  6. I'm ok with giving some advice but ideas have to be your own. There is enough world out there for everyone

  7. I may help if it is a close friend. Will think about it otherwise.

  8. I have not really had anyone ask. I guess it would depend on who it is.

  9. See, I'm okay with giving my friends advice to a point. Some want hand holding and I just can't afford it nor do I have the time!

  10. I open up to very few people in my personal life, but when it comes to business, time is money. After all, a smile or a thank you unfortunately does not pay the bills.

  11. It really depends on who is asking. If it is someone I already have a relationship with and I trust them I may go for a little picking, but it's hard to know when to say NO.

  12. I know I'm grateful for the people who allowed me to pick, so I do want to pay it back. Yet, there's a fine line.

  13. I do see the butterflies, that's pretty fun! It's hard to filter through free requests when you're trying to make a living with what you're doing. ;)

  17. As someone with a long history with the tax field, this time of year I get countless amounts of emails and messages from people wanting my help. They are loaded with questions. While I don't mind helping, there are some that are really time consuming. I don't want to be rude, but my time is money. I am too the point where next year I am going to establish a consulting fee or something.

  18. It depends on who they are - I am a huge pay forward person. I have been helped and I am willing to help others.

  19. Not that I'm that knowledgable but yes it does get annoying. But I am a helper at heart too, so I give in. I need an hourly rate.. :)

  20. I'm glad that people ask to pick my brain. It honestly doesn't bother me as much as some, but I feel like people come to me, and that makes me feel good.
