#DOACNightlife Bus

I have spent a lot of time the last two weeks visiting one of my favorite places, Atlantic City. Both by night, on an Atlantic City bound Party Bus enjoying the City's Nightlife, and then again by day, exploring great eats, the boardwalk, beach, casinos, pools and more!

And of course when I find something I love I just have to share it!

My visits out there were actually so extensive I am going to split this into multiple posts, and the pictures that didn't make this post you will be able to find on our Pinterest Page on our 'Travel' Pinterest Board. I was trying to make separate boards for each place I visit, but I think it's easier to drop them all in Travel and then just label where each picture was taken!

DJ Nigel Richards keeps tunes & fun flowing on the AC Party Bus!

I boarded the Party Bus above a bit skeptical about how fun Atlantic City Nightlife would be on a Monday night, and I can tell you they don't call it a 'party bus' for nothing my friends, we actually had not one, but three DJ's on board (I would say four technically, but no one knew they had #TheOfficialTwitterPartyDJ on board and I kept that one to myself!), and the 45-foot 'Nightclub-on-Wheels' provided us a curated experience,our own bartender, and a guide to keep the group organized and show us around the city.

We also got to visit the popular night spot Mur Mur at Borgata! But before our group had to depart we had to leave our mark:

I got to return for what was supposed to be an overnight trip, there was a few of us up there and we were assigned to different Casinos, we got Trump Plaza, and I extended my trip and added on a night at Tropicana Hotel and Casino!

My Take:

I had an amazing time on both the DO AC Nightlife Party Bus and my CrowdTap Atlantic City Experience Sampling, so much so that I extended my stay and stayed at Trump Plaza courtesy of CrowdTap, then at Tropicana the next day on my own, there was so much to see and do both by day and by night! I have been visiting Atlantic City pretty much monthly since I turned 21 as there is always something to see and do and it's literally super easy to get there by bus from the City, it has always been one of my favorite 'staycation' destinations and one I always enjoy especially during Summer. If it's been awhile since you've been there, you should definitely check it out, and visit the Do Atlantic City website to check out events and happenings so you can  plan your trip!

There is so much more I got to see and do that I will have to recap this adventure in multiple posts, so consider this an overview, and know there is more to come!

Wantable Intimates Subscription Box

Perhaps not a peek at the entire drawer, but how about a share of some new stuff going in it? I have worked with my fair share of intimates/lingerie brands since the inception of my blog, and it's normally my job to curate a 'best of' in any category before I present it to you. One of the things I adore about subscription box services is having someone else do the 'curating' for a change.

I know myself well enough to know that when I shop I tend to already seek out what I know and rarely ever do I deviate from that, which is not a good thing when it comes to the bedroom! That's definitely the one room in the house you DON'T want to get stuck in a rut.

As we all know butterflies to get, you have to give, and to get your Wantable Intimates Subscription Box just right, you do need to provide your measurements, weight, and answer a few questions about your preferences. Super quick, super easy, just remember to be honest or the stuff you get won't fit you properly!

Pucker Up Babydoll and Thong

One of the highlights of the June Box is this super cute set by Pucker Up, the babydoll and thong with polka dots and girly pink bow accents are playful and perfect for summer. One of the second reasons I wanted to bring this set to your attention is that the folks who curate it, know which brands to size up on if need be, so don't be alarmed if you get items all in one size and one or two items are a different size. To me this is the most important part of what makes this box such a standout. This set runs smaller and they automatically sized it up. The thongs were actually an 'extra' added to the box to complete the set. These are thoughtful touches that you expect when you are hiring a personal shopper, but is a totally pleasant surprise and un-expected touch for a subscription box. And the set itself is sexy in a way that doesn't make you feel un-comfortable which is important!

Rhonda Shear Ahh Angel Seamless Bandeau Bra

I have no idea how they knew I wanted one of these, but I guess they don't call the box 'Wantable' for nothing right? I was stoked to find the Rhonda Shear Ahh Angel Seamless Bandeau Bra in the box as summer is all about racerbacks and tops with spaghetti straps so a strapless bra is just what I needed, I also have never tried out Rhonda Shear's line before and to me this was a fantastic way to do it! (This one is the color they call "Eucalyptus") These are also super comfortable to sleep in, so I will definitely be going back for more!

yummie by Heather Thomson 'Sylvie' Cami in color 'flame'

The June 2014 Wantable Intimates Box also contained the Sylvie Cami by yummie in the color 'flame', and as I am a huge fan of the color red, needless to say it was love at first sight. But I also wanted to point out that the Sylvie Cami is made with Outlast, which absorbs your body heat, storing it when you are hot and then releasing it when you're cold. With summer heat being super hot outside, and then going into air-conditioned spaces, this cami is definitely a hit for me! While I don't see the 'flame' color still available directly via yummie, they do have the cami on sale currently where you can buy 2 for $29 each and save 15%, which is a pretty sweet deal!

Cynthia Rowley Sock Liners

There was a 3 pack of Cynthia Rowley Legwear Sock Liners in the box, which is perfect because they are super light weight and perfect for getting your feet into shoes when you don't feel like wearing hosiery. For some reason there are some shoes where you kinda need something to get your foot to slide in them properly but who wants full hosiery during the summer months right? These liners are just the perfect trick!

MY TAKE:

I love that Wantable has a little something for everyone, you can get an Accessories Box, an Intimates Box or a Makeup Box! You can go "Forever" and subscribe for $36 a month or you can opt for a "For Now" which is the purchase of a single box for $40. Note that Subscriptions are shipped automatically each month, but they can be skipped or cancelled at anytime (which makes it great if you are traveling during the summer and won't have anyone home to sign for a package).

And if you get a box and you are not in love? Send your box back for a full refund, no questions asked! Now that is what I call ZERO RISK butterflies! And as no two people are the same, no two boxes are ever the same either, pretty cool right? oh, and did I mention that shipping is free in the United States?

Ascending Butterfly is a community all about empowerment and when you get the chance to attend an event that celebrates those who to go battle for causes they believe in, you just have to jump on it! Cosmopolitan For Latinas recently hosted their Fun Fearless Latina 2014 Awards where 12 Latinas from pop music to politics were honored.

There were headline makers and industry shakers who all came together for an incredibly inspiring evening. One of the title sponsors was COVERGIRL Cosmetics who featured their latest Katy Perry's instaGLAM Collection.

I had a chance to join the Press Line as everyone entered and here is a mix of some of my own shots, interspersed with some shots from the Pro Photog as I couldn't capture everyone on the 'receiving line':

I am so happy that a magazine like Cosmopolitan for Latinas is out there, and that they are honoring the Latinas (and Latinos!) that are working zealously to create waves of change for generations to come!
