Use Today's Words of Inspiration as a breathing meditation to still your mind, quiet your thoughts and bring in positive energy. As you inhale bring in only positive energy by saying in your mind, I breathe in positive energy (or you can say creative energy if that is what you wish to create more of) and as you exhale, Affirm out loud today 'I will not let outside influences rob me of my joy'. Don't let the fires that need to be put out today, rob you of your joy.

Do this at least twice today and see how by taking a moment away from the hectic pace and breathing in positive energy and affirming what you wish to create, your thinking will become different!

Three things I am grateful for today:

- Because my Dad passed when I was very young, I honor my mom on Father's Day who became both a mom and Dad when Dad died. I cooked dinner for her, Salmon with Penne and a Lemon/Caper/Butter Sauce, YUM!

- Happy Birthday Lisa! :)

- Even though it was raining today, I just feel grateful for the slower pace that Sunday provides.

Sunday, June 21, 2009 - Happy Father's Day, The First Day of Summer and The Summer Solstice!

Happy Father's Day to all Ascending Butterfly Readers! I hope you have all done something special for your Dad. If you are a Dad I hope you are creating special memories with your families today!

Today is the 'official' first day of summer. Where do you find yourself today? Family BBQ? A Picnic? Take some time outdoors today. In fact,try to do your 'Today's Moment of Inspiration' outdoors!

One of the places I've always wanted to spend the Summer Solstice is at the well known Archaeological Site in Mexico, the Famous Attraction in Chichen Itza. If you ever visit Chichen Itza on June 22nd, you can see the northern side of the Temple of Kukulcan fully illuminated by the sun's rays, whereas the Southern and the Westerly sides remain shaded by the temple itself. Seen from the sky, it's as if the sun has divided the temple in half, with a perfect diagonal cut!

Rock The Vote II - Help Alleviate Depression!

I am a candidate in IdeaBlob's running contest to win 10K toward helping a small business or not for profit grow, My entry is called 'Clicking Me Happy© – Alleviating Depression One Camera at a time'.

Idea Description:

Every picture tells a story, some good, some bad, but looking at the world around you behind a lens has a way of instantly changing your focus and perspective. Over 14 million Americans suffer from a debilitating disease called Depression. It cripples its victims emotionally as well as physically. While causes vary individually, and albeit so do the cures, empowering an individual to change their perspective is a difficult process, but it doesn’t have to be a costly one.

Mission Statement: Clicking Me Happy seeks to aid in the healing process and enhance a sense of overall well being by bringing the creative process of photography to depressed people across America.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Some of the immediate needs that would be filled with seed funding include: Digital Camera’s, Website Designer,Office Space,furniture and equipment, Computers and Printers.

We would love to introduce photography and printing technique, photo journaling, art exhibitions and down the line have photographers pair up with other not for profits or hospitals to use their new found skill set to aid the community. For example a photographer could be paired with a hospital to volunteer to take pictures of newborn babies, giving the new parents a priceless memory and the photographer a positive way to continue to enhance their skills and integrate themselves into their communities.
