Happy Holidays and a Smoothie New Year! Sorry but I couldn't resist being cheeky! Lately I've been on the run so much that squeezing in time for a healthy breakfast has been next to impossible. But I do remember my pre-med background and know that there are two things you shouldn't skimp on when it comes to your health, sleep and breakfast. Your body very much needs both!
Depriving of yourself of sleep and breakfast does have adverse effects. But you can keep it super simple, and still do something good for yourself!
Yoplait® Frozen Smoothies
I have spent the past year venturing out of my usual habits and patterns, this year included my first ever Yoga Class (I'm more of a Martial Arts oriented person). And I will admit also that my snacking habits still need an overhaul, but I am working on it! I'm not going to lie and say I was immediately attracted to the idea of this review. Now Chocolate, don't have to think about, but Smoothie? Hmmm...I wasn't immediately bowled over by the idea.
But it did fit everything I knew I should be doing. Eating healthy, and not skipping breakfast! So I signed up. And then when my kit arrived, I couldn't find this in my local supermarkets right away. And then once I finally found it (while visiting a friend!), I still procrastinated a bit!
I finally whipped out the included Smoothie Maker (3-speed KitchenAid® blender was provided to me by KitchenAid® through MyBlogSpark.), and followed the super simple, easy as 1,2,3 instructions, (1) empty the package containing Yoplait frozen yogurt chips and frozen fruit into your blender, (2) add skim milk, and (3) blend (there is a smoothie setting on the blender!). It“s that easy!
For me, it's the perfect weekday breakfast, it's fast and easy to make, you can drink it on the go and not miss a beat in the morning! Better still, it's a healthy energy, one you won't quite get from that morning cup of Joe!

My Take
This is a great weekday breakfast for me, it gave me sustainable energy that carried me through to lunch, and it allowed me to get out the door on time, doesn't get much better! It's great for anytime, but I know I will use it more for breakfast. Although I should really be using this a midnight snack alternative! :-)
