Wordless Wednesday on a Tuesday! Are you going Black for the cause?

Many Blogs are going dark for a cause on Wednesday, there is a great series of articles on the topic on Time Techland that you can read up on if you are not familiar with SOPA. In fact I've been doing quite a bit of reading on this myself to catch up as I've spent my days since the end of December in the hospital and am just getting settled back home.

Quite a few sites across the interwebs will be going dark, sites like Wikipedia are included in the one day shut down to protest SOPA, what about YOU what are you doing to support the cause?

    1. I was afraid of using the HTML widget (rumored issues with it) so I thought I'd post instead.

I loved your post! And that soup looked good, tonight was actually a good night for some sopa!

This is America, censorship of any kind cannot be tolerated! We pride ourselves on democracy, how can such censorships and policing of a public medium even be a consideration?

  2. Ok, I'm trying to get my comments done before everyone disappears! I think I might go gray...not black. =(

    1. It's OK to go grey, I just think it's important for everyone to be aware of what's happening. I found out pretty late myself because of the long hospital stay.

    2. I wasn't savvy enough to go black but I like how you write it is more important to be aware.
      Thinking of you!

    3. I didn't use the widget to go black, so much like Mimi mentioned, I went more 'grey' than 'black' but I felt it was important for everyone to understand WHY this was happening. Unlike #OccupyWallstreet where the what is still a bit unclear, I joined in solidarity because big business keeps running to the government to protect their interests, but their definitions of 'infringement' are way too broad, and the response of just arbitrarily shutting sites down is NOT the answer!

Thanks for your messages of support, I greatly appreciate it!

  4. Wouldn't it be great if the internet could come together for other social good causes as quickly?

  5. So proud that so many people all across the internet came together yesterday! I agree with you, it would be wonderful if we could come together for other great causes in such a timely manner. (Stopping by from Blogger Connection Support)

    1. I am too! I was so happy to see both big and small businesses coming together to put a stop to such blatant censorship! Imagine what changes we could make if all went dark regarding unemployment and high taxes too! :-)

    1. It's so great that so many blogs joined the cause, let's face it, for Wiki and Google it wasn't going to affect their SEO as much as it did for the little guys, which is what proves just how important this cause is to so many! Congrats for going dark to protest SOPA!
