My Take

This mirror is a great gift across the board! Dads will love it (shave, shower and go!), moms will love it (No more Dads hair in her sink), and a Grad moving into their first apartment will love this mirror too!

Normally I'm a 'suction skeptic' and usually never trust an item that is supposed to adhere in the shower via any type of suction. This Mirror has made a believer out of me! I've had countless shower shelves and mirrors from other brands that fell down on me, making this one a very pleasant surprise. I've had it for several months, and it has not slid, shifted, or fallen, it's definitely lived up to all it's promises, and I love the convenience, the built in shelf and built in squegee! And the price point is great also! If your Grad has a favorite teacher they want to thank with a thoughtful gift, this is a great idea for a teacher's gift. (And as a former Special Ed Teacher I speak from experience when I say teachers can only eat so many apples.....)

When is the last time your Dad (or your honey) had an underwear drawer makeover? or you for that matter? Does he have a drawer full of un-mentionables that are just plain .... well un-mentionable?

I recently received the opportunity to make over my underwear drawer and just had to share the results with all of you! A Big Box o' Love arrived and there is much to share!

I'm happy to say that I've been a long time user of Jockey underwear. Yes, Ladies, there is such a thing as Jockey for HER. It's not just for the boys! I was introduced to Jockey at JCPenney YEARS ago, I saw some women practically slugging it out by the underwear display which piqued my curiosity.  I thought 'What underwear was worth fighting about?' I noticed an older woman already on the checkout line who seemed approachable, with tons of the jockey for her in the same style called the 'elance' style in her arms in a bunch of different colors and I asked her about them, and she RAVED about Jockey, about how comfortable and durable they are, and we also discussed the whole 'wedgie - do they, or don't they?' thing, she said they don't. Between her candid testimonial and the brawl  I witnessed at the display, I was SOLD! So I made my way to the display and staked my claim. This was just about TEN years ago and I've been using them FAITHFULLY ever since! I find them to be the most durable, comfortable and 'non-wedgie' inducing underwear out there. Don't you hate underwear that mysteriously come out the wash with rips and tears?

Aside from wedgies, the second most annoying thing that underwear can do is give us unsightly panty lines under certain favorite outfits. Don't you love this color? It's called South China Sea, and it's all just as comfortable as it looks! I get compliments every time I wear it! I find myself reaching for the matching high neck tank and bootleg pant each work-out!

Aside from having no idea they had such amazing yoga/workout/active-wear, I also had no idea that Jockey made hosiery. And they run in very generous sizes! Any hosiery that can survive my dangerous, jagged, 'edward scissorhand' nails is tops in my book!

And yes, I do remember how we started, it was with DAD, one my favorite Jockey for HIM items is the '5 Star V-neck T-shirt'. I do love stealing these to sleep in! But if you are giving these as one of his gifts, resist the urge to nabe one for yourself.

Some new jockey for him styles that he would appreciate are: the Sport Performance Athletic Midway (they are popular with law enforcement officers as well as fitness buffs), it also has a matching Muscle T, new bermuda & surf swim short styles, and I am also hearing good things about the 'GO Stretch Classic Trunk', particularly that they don't ride up. Happy Father' Day! OK, so right now it's a little bit early, but not to early to start thinking of gifts! Most people I know say that shopping for Dad is the hardest. While most I know say their moms just don't want them to spend too much, their dads say 'I don't need anything'.

Well most of us don't technically 'NEED' anything, but we want everything, am I right? Don't let dad off the hook that easy, while his lips may grumble 'I don't need anything', trust me folks, there is a little boy in there who WANTS stuff. Cool Stuff. Unique Stuff.

Ladies, trust me when I say the one thing that will never change is that the way to a Man's Heart is through his stomach. His food loving, amazingly quick calorie burning stomach.  Feed him and he's YOURS!

This Memorial Day weekend was so much more memorable with the arrival of some special review baskets! It's a tough job but somebody has to do it! And with family and friends over, I can tell you the contents of these baskets went QUICK! (I received two of them today well after everyone left, so those are mine, all MINE! Hopefully no one I know is reading this, SHHH don' tell anyone! LOL)

I have been giving and receiving baskets as gifts for YEARS now, and I will say that the best presenation by far has been with 800 Baskets. You receive it exactly as pictured, and they are always so much fun to open. There is attention to detail from the contents, to how it's packaged and wrapped, and even with the shipping, the attention to detail is there. Instead of a box that lets out packing peanuts all over the carpet, the peanuts themselves were contained in their own packaging so the basket was protected from being bumped in transit, but was also easy open with no mess.

This was one of the ones that arrived during memorial day weekend, I'm amazed that I even was able to save one for me, these went super quick. All I can say is that there is a reason why Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day! I don't know what arrangement 800baskets.com has with Fedex but this arrived early in the am and everyone was hungry! While more hands meant this basket disappeared quickly, it was fun having help in the kitchen!
