Happy First of July Butterfly! For over 10 years now I have a habit of searching on the internet to find out if there are any holidays and observances on any given date, for some reason I love starting my morning with this ritual, it just never gets old for me. I had no idea just how many observances occur on July 1st!

Build A Scarecrow Day - I had no idea building scarecrows even had it's own day, nevertheless that it was TODAY!

Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day - I LOVE Ice Cream, now this is an observance I can wrap my head around! I do this already without an ice cream maker! (What flavor would you present to the ice cream companies?)
Early Bird Day - Supposedly procrastinators stand the best chance of kicking their procrastination habit today. (Who knew? - I still haven't tackled my closets and didn't have any sudden urge to do so today, so the jury is still out on this observance!)
Gingersnap Day - I don't eat these, but for those who do, today is your day to go wild!
International Joke Day - Beware of quipsters, punsters and jokesters! (or get a head start on them if you can!)
Special Saints Day - This is a HUGE list, you can get the specifics on The Calendar of the Saints!
