Soap Opera Lovers REJOICE All My Children & One Life to Live are back via The Online Network (@TOLN) on Monday, April 29th!

Butterflies, I don't know if it started for you the same way it did for me, but my first sick day when I was in Junior High School turned out to be a bonding moment and TV habit that would last for decades! I was home sick and well past my cartoon days, so Mom let me in on her favorite daytime 'me time', Soap Operas! Mama Butterfly introduced me to all the characters and patiently caught me up on story lines so I could figure out what was happening. Like many moms, she created a monster, I HAD to know what was going on! And subsequent sick days always meant me in my PJ's watching 'soaps' with mom!

When All My Children and One Life to Live were cancelled it was the shot heard around the world. Many loyal watchers considered each character 'family' and many soaps were passed down throughout the generations in families. Even those who couldn't watch their 'stories' during the day would be sure to record them so they could watch them at night. Soap Operas were favorite water cooler fodder, and the networks were definitely barraged by outraged fans.

And while it had been rumored for what seems like a very long time coming, I can indeed confirm that All My Children and One Life to Live are BACK! The shows are being brought back on The Online Network and can also be viewed on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes! You can check out All My Children (AMC) on Hulu at www.hulu.com/all-my-children and One Life to Live (OLTL) on Hulu at www.hulu.com/one-life-to-live

Fans no longer have to settle for the crossover of their favorite characters on General Hospital. (And while I know I'm in the minority on this one, I didn't like the character crossovers from OLTL characters on General Hospital. I personally felt that they just didn't 'fit'.) They belong back in their home, and now they will be!

I am SUPER excited to know not only that All My Children and One Life to Live are back, but it's like they are re-invented and being re-born on the web. It's like Soap Opera's 2.0, bigger, better and hopefully built to last!

Show synopsis: All My Children revolves around the lives of the residents of fictional Pine Valley. For nearly forty years, this town has seen the trials and tribulations of its dynamic families. Now your favorite stories are back, and more dramatic than ever!

Plot outline: Since 1970, the residents of All My Children's Pine Valley, PA -- including its most famous citizen, Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) have seen their fair share of scandalous hookups, feuds, and devastating murders. Pine Valley luminaries include resident hero Ryan Lavery (Cameron Mathison), Fusion Cosmetics maven Greenlee du Pres (Rebecca Budig), perpetual troublemaker David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry), funnyman Tad Martin (Michael E. Knight), and the unforgettable romantic duo of Angie and Jesse Hubbard (Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams).

All My Children actors include returning actors include Debbie Morgan as Dr Angie Hubbard, Julie Barr as Brooke English, Sal Stowers as Cassandra Foster, Eric Nelson as AJ Chandler, Denyse Tontz as Miranda Montgomery, Jordan Lane Price as Celia Fitzgerald, Ryan Bittle as JR Chandler, Eden Riegel as Bianca Montgomery, Cady McClain as Dixie Cooney, Ray MacDonnell as Dr. Joe Martin, David Canary as Adam Chandler, Heather Roop as Jane McIntyre, and Francesca James as Evelyn Johnson will be returning once the soap moves online.

What Luke and Laura are to General Hospital, Jesse and Angie are to All My Children! I remember where Dr. Angie Hubbard's storyline last left off, and I literally can't wait to find out what direction they are going to take her character and her storyline!

Show synopsis: One Life to Live follows the complicated lives of three main families: the wealthy Lords, the powerful Buchanans and the strong-willed Cramers. The quiet simplicity of small town living is often interrupted by the drama between them yet despite the struggles, strong family bonds keep them united.

Plot outlineThe good people of Llanview, Pennsylvania, lead complicated lives. In a town of questionable marriage ethics, teenagers grow up fast and fall in love quickly. The quiet simplicity of small-town living on the Llantano River is frequently upset by an over-abundance of multiple personalities who disturb the peace. Despite the jealousy, betrayal, and occasional baby-swapping, Llanview is where the Buchanan, Lord, and Cramer families struggle to retain the strong family ties that have always united them.

One Life to Live actors include Corbin Bleu as Jeffery King as well as returning actors Erika Slezak as Victoria Lord Buchanan, Robin Strasser as Dorian Lord, Tuc Watkins as David Vickers, Robert S. Woods as Bo Buchanan, Kassie DePaiva as Blair Cramer, Jerry verDorn as Clint Buchanan, Florencia Lozano as Tea Delgado, Melissa Archer as Natalie Buchanan Banks, Hillary B. Smith as Nora Buchanan, Kelley Missal as Danielle Manning, Josh Kelly as Cutter Wentworth, and Andrew Trischitta as Jack Manning. Recurring actors include: Sean Ringgold as Shaun Evans, Shenaz Treasury as Rama Patel, and Nick Choksi as Vimal Patel.

The Buchanans are the power family of OLTL, and true fans know that Erika Slezak who portrays Victoria Lord Buchanan is a very versatile actress, she certainly plays many roles!

I got to see the premiere episodes and am sworn to secrecy, but I do have previews I can share with you!

I am an official General Hospital Brand Ambassador! More GH Fun!

General Hospital Monday

As you all know from my post last week I am an official General Hospital Brand Ambassador! In an effort to connect with others who share my obsession for all things GH, I thought I'd make this another 'GH Monday'.

This Week's Juicy Storyline Topic of Discussion: This week on General Hospital a cop is determined to put his mobster father behind bars and might have to use his brother to do it. Also this week, Dante questions his own brother— will Michael confess or will Dante realize on his own that it was Michael who was responsible for killing Claudia and not Sonny? This great story line is sure to generate controversy and conversation! I can't wait to hear what YOU think is going to happen! So readers, are you team 'Dante' or team 'Michael'? (I am and always will be team 'Jason' but since he's not officially the topic of discussion.....)

And if you haven't already figured it out, I'm entirely obsessed with 'Jason Morgan' played brilliantely by Steve Burton! Here is some Jason Eye Candy for you!

Steve, please stop making bad look ever so good!  MWAH!!

I am an official General Hospital Brand Ambassador!

My first sick day many years ago when I was still a student resulted in my introduction to my mom's secret world of 'stories' and General Hospital was one of them. I got wrapped up in the story lines and couldn't wait to ask her about them when I got home from school.

I still watch to this day, thankfully Soapnet, Tivo and Cable have made it easier to watch them on MY schedule!

I wanted to alert you to an exciting General Hospital sweepstakes that’s currently being run on the Mom Central website. One lucky winner will be randomly selected to receive a trip to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital and have a walk-on role! The sweepstakes is open until February 28th. I for one would be over the moon if I won, and I'd want my scene to be with Steve Burton who makes bad look oh so good as Mob Enforcer 'Jason Morgan' (formerly Jason Quartermaine). I can just picture the scene now.....a sultry, mysterious Lady Mob Enforcer rolls into town (played by ME of course) and has to go up against Jason in an all guns blazing fight....I'm thinking we both get away less worse for wear, this way I get to come back! Or maybe I'm sent to kill off Sam, Mu ha ha ha ha ha!

A hunky, handsome actor, Steve Burton gives the character of Jason the detachment and coldness needed to be a mob hit man. Burton, however, also portrays what goes on inside Jason Morgan - a loving heart aching to show itself. (inserting the words 'only to me' in my head,  pretend you didn't hear it!)

This Week's Juicy Storyline Topic of Discussion: Sonny’s trial for murder begins! One son is tormented when his father takes the fall for him while the other is called to stand to testify against his father.

What do you think is going to happen? Should Sonny take the rap for Michael?
