MY TAKE:  

Me and mom weren't in the mood for crowds this year so I took her to dinner on Friday and plan to cook today, and I also surprised her with a card from Fresh Cut Paper called 'Pink Tulips' I love how they look like an actual bouquet of flowers, her last name 'rosado' translates to pink in English. The bouquet comes with a note card, but inside the notecard I put in an Asian Money Envelope for this year - the year of the rabbit - because my mom was born in the year of the rabbit and in the money envelope I put money in the exact amount of the years I have walked this earth - I knew that would make her smile. She actually made me laugh by saying she can't wait until I turn $100! I ordered her favorite cake but sadly it won't be here on time.

I am sending one out to my Lawyer soon as a thank you for her efforts in my case in a different style!

I love this idea so much! They truly make thoughtful gifts and the notecard is perfect for writing your sentiments and also slipping in a gift card should you choose to add something additional. And they only take four forever stamps so you don't have to run to the post office provided you have stamps on hand of course!

I always try to put together thoughtful and fun ways to make my mom feel celebrated and appreciated.

It is exactly one year now that I have been putting my 'best face' forward on my business cards and using a card that is not only creative, but the most reflective of me and my personal brand.

I couldn't recommend tinyprints more (as you can see from past reviews, here and here), but I will warn you, order at least 100 more than you think you'll need, you'd be surprised just how many you will go through PER conference or networking event with these! For me the past few months have been filled with non-stop tradeshows, conferences, expos and events, and I have almost run through a print run of 500 cards already!

2014 will be here before you know it butterflies, are you ready? Do your current business cards truly reflect your brand?

I have a graphic design background and I can tell you that you should never design your own cards, let someone else do it! You need someone to put the same energy into YOU as you do for your clients. If you are very anal about things this 'giving up control' will probably be extremely difficult for you at first, but I can promise you it will be so worth it at the end.

I have never received more compliments on any former Business Card than I have with this one, and I have not looked back since. When I check into events, I wait for my card back but the person always keeps my card! It's quite a compliment!

In fact since I started blogging, I've designed a new card each year, which makes perfect sense, the cards evolved as much as me and my site have. But now I'm in more of a 'groove' and wanted to grow into my card instead of it being the other way around all the time.

I was delighted to learn that tinyprints has a Custom Design Service! You can make a completely unique card, work 1-on-1 with a Designer, and they offer a free physical AND digital proof. There is a low One-Time Fee of $25 for the service. My designer was amazingly patient, and he was able to take a very BIG vision and tall order and help me organize it all in a way that made sense from a design standpoint, and still retain the creativity I wanted the card to have. The quality of the cardstock and the brilliant design make these my favorite cards to date! I couldn't recommend tinyprints more, but I will warn you, order at least 100 more than you think you'll need, you'd be surprised just how many you will go through PER conference or networking event with these!

2013 is moving forward at lightening pace indeed my butterflies! Keeping up with the pace of this year and the pace of business certianly isn't easy. Can you believe that Blogging Conference Season has begun?

You are not going to get very much time at each table when you visit the exhibit floor of a conference. There are two things that are going to make an impression, the first is YOU of course, and the second is your Business Card, that's the one that comes back with the company rep you just charmed! But does that card really reflect you? Your brand? and What YOU can do?

I have gone through quite a few business cards since graduating College, but it's been awhile since I have had one that I felt was a true reflection of ME. Business cards have a tendency towards the straight-laced and conservative. Striking a balance between a business card that reflects your creative side and your business side isn't always easy. And no matter what your degree of experience and expertise may be with typography and graphic design, it's a challenge getting your card to be creative, concise and still contain all the information you need to provide.
