My Take

The Salux Cloth is absolutely amazing, it has replaced all those stupid poofs that quickly lose their shape. The exfoliation my skin receives from these means I don't have to purchase separate and pricey skin exfoliators. It leaves my skin very soft and smooth. I can tell you when the time comes that I need to replace mine, I will be re-buying these and I will never go back to those poufs again! It also replaces those long back scrubbers because the length on these enable you to get to your back with ease. These actually also increase circulation, and you really do come out feeling invigorated and renewed! It's definitely like a spa treatment, just way cheaper!

Even my inner frugalista allows me certain 'luxurious necessities'. I absolutely love high thread count sheets! That doesn't mean I don't do my homework to find the best possible quality at the best possible price. But the higher the thread count, the more I swoon. I like to make my bed an Oasis. Christmas in August? I had a chance to celebrate Christmas in August with Hallmark when I attended the BlogHer 2010 Conference in New York City. On a warm, humid evening, Hallmark transformed a beautiful party space into a Christmas Wonderland!

There were themed rooms, a very 'Hunky' santa, Christmas themed Cocktails, and a variety of Hallmark Ornaments, Recordable Storybooks and not just a goodie bag, but a full on goodie box so chock full of goodies, that instead of leaving the party with them, they were mailed to us later!

I am a long time card carrying 'Gold Crown' member Hallmark Fan. I love to give and receive Hallmark Cards and my biggest weakness, their ornaments. We get a new ornament each year. My Christmas tree really could be used in their advertising as a display tree.

The ornaments all have memories and all bring out my inner child. But I will have to admit that I did have a favorite in my goodie box, it's Hoops&yoyo™! They always make me smile and I was very happy to find a Hoops&yoyo™ ornament in my box, they were given a very prime 'front and center' spot on my tree this year!

First in a Series

I have quite a bit of ornaments that are a series, and each year I always look forward to finding out what is being released in a series I'm collecting. Glad Tidings - 1st in the Windows of Faith series

Glad Tidings is the 1st in the Windows of Faith series, and I already know I will be collecting the series! Years ago I taught the Special Education students in my church and I attended a conference and during the breakout session there was an expo hall with vendors and I bought a set of Stained Glass Ornaments that I absolutely treasure. They have to be placed very strategically however to truly catch the light. When I saw this ornament from Hallmark, that simply plugs into one of the lights on the tree and then illuminates from within, it was absolutely, positively LOVE at first sight. And since I also love watching the annual mass from Rome each year, this series is sure to become one of my favorites!

What better gift than the gift of rejuvenated, younger eyes? I know right! This is how to 'stuff' a stocking. Beauty products have always been a personal fave as a stocking stuffer pick with me and my besties. And I'm sure that will never change!

When I was in my twenties, I was a die hard skeptic about the value of eye cream. I just didn't believe in the claims that any of them made. I am pretty much genetically pre-disposed to dark circles. My dad had them, I have them. I thought for many years that the battle of the dark under-eye circles was always going to be a losing one. Much like the battle of the frizz, but that my friends is a story for a different post.

Aside from the dark circles, my eyes have been taking a beating this holiday season. To meet deadlines, I've been working much longer hours and spreading myself pretty thin. The first place this shows up on me is my eyes. And that does not make me happy. I have beautiful eyes, I say it un-abashedly as they are my favorite feature. They are a beautiful Hazel color with perfect flecks of Gold, the happier I am, the greener they look. As pretty as they are, they don't look good with dark circles under them.

Because this has been a year of 'pro-activity' (OK, writers license, that may not be a real word) I have been actively trying to address things that bother me. And this under-eye circle thing, has quite frankly been bothering me. I am no longer a teen, and late nights definitely show!

Thankfully, the blogging Gods were listening, and I was contacted to try to an under-eye cream. I will admit, my inner skeptic skoffed at the idea. But my racoon eyes embraced the idea and forced me to immediately break open the package and get started.

I will tell you I have seen marked improvement using Exuviance. And I went into it very doubtful. I do notice on mornings when I am in a rush and skip out on using it, people notice, because I always get the dreaded 'Do you have a cold?' or 'Did you get enough Sleep Last Night?'

The Perk, when I use it consistently I always get more compliments on what they should notice, my eye COLOR! :)

Thankfully no crows feet or fine lines to contend with yet, but I figure getting into the habit of using eye cream will help me prevent them! I do have some un-even pigmentation on the upper eyes, and have noticed more even pigment on the upper eye as well as the lower eye using Exuviance Age Reverse Eye Contour. As I already know I am NOT going to be happy when I run out of this, you know that means I definitely recommend it!
