It can be fun to seek out inspiration in unusual places and to make sure you are also doing so in places you regularly visit!
Twitter which folks either like or hate, (same with facebook) can be more childish than high school, and at times equally profound. The messages are mixed depending upon who you follow and who follows you, but I came across an interesting 'tweet' this weekend and couldn't help but share it!
Many times its not what uve done wrong that makes life hard on u & ppl 2 dislike u, ITS WHAT UVE DONE RITE! #keepgoin!

I thought this was quite profound and I thought it would be interesting to get your feedback on this tweet. It's obvious that making the wrong choices in our lives will elicit negative feedback from those around us, but there are times that the right decision can also elicit negativity, leaving us even MORE profoundly confused than we were before.
How do you react when you receive negative feedback on a decision you know full well was the right one for you? Do you press forward? Do you find yourself feeling the need to justify your decision?
Use 'Today's Words of Inspiration' as a breathing meditation to still your mind, quiet your thoughts and bring in positive energy. As you inhale bring in only positive energy by saying in your mind, I breathe in positive energy (or you can say creative energy if that is what you wish to create more of) and as you exhale, Affirm out loud today 'I trust today that I am making the right decision!'
Spend some time each day enjoying focused breathing AND soul guided meditative visualization, in doing so, you can bring about profound and powerful changes in your life.
Visualize yourself manifesting something unique, guided by universal forces that emerge spontaneously from within your soul. Do this at least twice today and see how by taking a moment away from the hectic pace and breathing in positive energy and affirming what you wish to create, your thinking will become different.
Remember, attitude really does determine altitude.

This statement hits very close to home, as I have two sisters who have always been jealous of me. My crime? I’m the baby and I’ve made better decisions in life than they have, making me more successful. I’m proud of what they’ve done, but they don’t reciprocate.
ReplyDeleteFor me, it’s easier to tell outsiders how I feel about their jealousy than my siblings, since I see them regularly. I don’t want to be the cause of ruining family gatherings, sadly, they don’t feel the same. But you better believe if they bring it up, or say something rude, I stand up for myself…it just hasn’t done any good.
I believe in standing up for yourself, especially when it comes to your success and those who put you down for it. But sometimes, with some people, it doesn’t matter what you say, they are still just as ugly and hateful.
The dynamics with siblings and sibling rivalry have always fascinated me since I am an only child. But sometimes it is better to express what you are going through with people who can remain impartial! It's a shame that they can't contain their resentments during family gatherings, it's unfair to everyone, especially your parents. Bravo for pressing forward, you will never please 100% of the people 100% of the time, but starting by making sure you are pleasing yourself by your decisions is truly the best choice!
ReplyDeleteGlad this post resonated so strongly with you!
