Wordless Wednesday! - Ash Wednesday

As Ash Wednesday has me a bit reflective on Faith as a whole today, I thought I'd really dig into the archives and share a picture of my Baptism. I love this picture with my God Parents! Today my meditation themes will be Faith, Sacrifice and the upcoming season of Lent.

For those observing Lent, what are you giving up for Lent?

  1. This year, I decided that instead of giving anything up, I was going to add things instead. I usually go to Mass 2 or 3 times during the week. It's so peaceful and such a wonderful way to start off my day. Anyway, my goal for Lent is to attend daily Mass. If I'm unable to attend, I will pray the rosary instead.

  4. @Chip I love this idea!!!! I used to work near St. Patrick's Cathedral and I loved visiting during my lunch hour, I did feel much more centered, and while I couldn't do it daily, I visited as often as my schedule at that time would allow, thanks for sharing this idea!

  5. When I saw the caption about Ash Wedneday I held my breath as I thought here goes another attack on our heritage. Its refreashing to see someone proud and expressive of their faith, as well as the comments that appear from your subscribers. Hopefully religion is not only still with many, but they are not afarid to proclaim it.

  6. @John This site was founded on seeking and sharing inspirations. Inspiration comes in many faces and forms. I'm encouraging of all Faiths! I was raised in the Roman Catholic Faith. My neighborhood was quite diverse and so was my schooling. I've had the pleasure of visiting many houses of worship and many different churches, I even worked for a Jewish Theological Seminary. I want this site to be a place where everyone can share what inspires them! (But I can understand where the caption might give pause without seeing the picture!) :)
