Are you team Potter or team Pooh?

As you know today is P vs P, Potter vs Pooh, both movies are out today and while you can certainly go see both, which will you see FIRST?

I had the chance to catch the NYC screening of Winnie the Pooh last weekend, and was so happy to see that the cartoon very much kept to its roots with classic hand drawn animation, and a clean family friendly story line. It's a movie you can feel comfortable taking the little ones to see, it's truly family friendly!

If you are a Disney Rewards Club Member, make sure you save your ticket stubs!

I will admit I did get a kick out of Owl being voiced by Late Night's own Craig Ferguson, anyone who watches his late night show knows that his 'adult' oriented humor is probably as opposite of 'Disney' family values as you can get.

Winnie and the gang seem to be taking the face off with a sense of humor, check out the video below:

So is your family Team Potter, or Team Pooh this weekend?

Either way, wishing you a weekend filled with fun, sun and great memories!

  1. Team Potter here!!! I saw the movie this morning at midnight and will see it again tomorrow evening with my hubby and on Sunday afternoon with a group of friends. :-) No plans to see Pooh, since my kids aren't old enough.

  2. Hi Elana!

WOW! I have never seen a movie in the theater more than once! 3 times? It must have been good!

  3. Potter. Pooh is too slow for my taste.

  4. Never seen even ONE Potter movie. Probably won't go see the new Pooh movie, but I LOVE Pooh Bear!

  5. @Vance - Did you see HP already? How was it? I was at the empowerment summit this weekend, and haven't had a chance to see Potter yet.

@Veronica - I only saw the first few in the theaters, ironically I've caught the others on a flight! I love Pooh Bear too! :)

  6. I'm a Pooh fan, but my teens went to see Harry Potter this weekend. They grow up too fast!
Thanks for hopping by! Always enjoy your blog!

  8. @Nancy Teens are definitely going to see Potter first! And yes, they do grow up way too fast, I keep trying to convince my nephews, niece and godson to stop growing so I won't feel so old, but they aren't falling for it! ;-)

  11. @Jennifer I can totally relate, with the exception of HP1, the rest of them put me to sleep (although in all fairness I caught every HP movie except the first on a flight, the sleepiness *may* have been jet lag) - Pooh Bear on the other hand is totally irresistible! :)

  12. Thanks for stopping by my WW. I actually thought the Pooh ads were quite clever! Will probably see HP with hubby and Pooh with dd. She's 8 now but still wants to see it (of course, she would rather see HP, but we won't let her watch past #5). ;)

  13. @Our Homeschool Reviews - I agree, I love the cheeky take on the Pooh vs Potter debate! And I agree about the age restrictions on HP, my youngest nephew isn't allowed to see it yet either and he was kind of bummed at first, but since we were lucky and the teens wanted to see Winnie, it made it 'cool' for the younger one and he didn't feel left out of seeing HP
