New York Summers put the SWELT in sweltering! In fact, the  heat + humidity combo this summer has actually proven deadly. Last week there were 3 heat stroke related deaths in the city. I'm not trying to scare anyone, but the city I love can actually be deadly in the summer. And as this is a public transportation city, most of us spend a substantial amount of time underground. The platforms where you wait for the train can be brutal, and let's not even mention the trains that arrive without air conditioning that you are on for a good 30-45 minutes standing up in the heat waiting to reach your destination. (Sorry MTA, but the truth is the truth!)

Carrying bottled water is one great way to stay cool, but finding as many ways as you can to beat the heat in this city is an absolute MUST. I found a great way to stay cool this summer and best of all it's from a very old and familiar friend!

It's been super important to me when I started blogging and finally relented and decided to try out 'being PR friendly' (just about a year in) that I shared the brands I used and was truly excited about. I looked at the line closely and there was a huge age range of women on that line. My Take

I had the chance to try out the entire Jockey Staycool Collection - I tried the Women's reversible t-shirt + tank, the modern brief and bikini and I really do find that they help keep you cooler! I've tried out clothing that wicks moisture away from you, which invariably makes you feel cooler, but these really do help you keep your cool when the heat is on! As someone who has worn Jockey for so long, some of the changes they have made throughout the years have been fantastic, particularly the fact that they are now label and seams free, and I find that they are the most durable of any brand I have tried.

The Staycool collection lives up to Jockey's level of quality that I have come to know and love.  As for me, I prefer briefs to bikini's, (I tend to wear my pants and denim at my natural waist), but for ladies who love low rise, the bikini's are a perfect choice for you! I'm a bit 'busty' (ahem naturally well endowed) and if you are too, I'd personally suggest to size up one on the shirts if you are wearing them out. Now if they are going to be exclusively PJ tops for you, then no need to size up, but if layering them under work clothes, or wearing them out by themselves, you may want to size up.
