Deciding to channel all their energies into a new line of body products, they created MOR Cosmetics. With over 350 products today, the line has a cult like following and is sold in some of the world's hippest boutiques. Mor offers a range of products from bath oils and foams, body wash and scrubs, soothing massage oils, richly emollient hand and body creams, and lovely soaps and candles.

I tried out the Lychee Flower Soap, it's a MOR Cosmetics best-seller and for very good reason, the scent is hypnotic, and it instantly conjures up images of a warm beach, flowers in your hair and the sun on your skin, yes folks, it's THAT good!

And don't get me started on the packaging! It's so beautiful that it took me forever to open it because I didn't want to destroy the paper! But I know I have to do the 'hard' stuff so you don't have to, and while I did open it very carefully, the scent permeated the air in the bathroom in such a way that it rivals some of the finest candles I've purchased!

These are stunners, perfect to display in your powder room and your guest bathroom as well. (Why do guests always get the good stuff?) These are also fabulous hostess gifts!

I also had the pleasure of trying out the Snow Gardenia Body Butter. I am pretty picky when it comes to my body butters. I like them to be rich (not too thick, no too thin), to be super-hydrating (especially in winter since it's so cold and windy here that the weather tends to dry out my skin) and I like scent, I like to know it's there (not too much as to offend the 'noses' working around me but enough to know I have something special on!) and I am pleased to report, Mor definitely exceeded my body butter expectations. And that's not so easy to do!

A Laptop-less blogger makes for another wordless day. I have some choice words in mind, mostly for the manufacturer of my Laptop, but I was told 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.' And so I won't!

But I do want to.......in the meantime I'll be staring at the Zen Garden and trying to transport myself into the picture!

My First Wordless Wednesday!

Butterflies I am sad to inform you all that technology has revolted against me today at 'Casa de Butterfly', my laptop is in the shop, and my internet connection has been spotty at best, so in honor of losing my battle to the 'tech war of winter 2010', I am hosting my first 'Wordless Wednesday'. They say you sometimes have to sit still and in silence to find inspiration.

As I mentioned yesterday I usually keep my sanity in the winter by spending one week (or more) somewhere warm. Here is a picture of the view from my balcony taken during my last trip to sunny Cancun, Mexico. I certainly wish I was there right now!

If you don't see a post here tomorrow you will know I have lost the tech war altogether, or I have hopped on the next flight out of here in search of sunnier skies!

A Little Snow Crazy

I will admit I've had enough snow already! It snowed during the night and more is expected today. I am all snowed out!

For those of you reading today from somewhere warm and sunny, be GRATEFUL for the sun today! I wouldn't mind seeing some more of it myself. Normally each winter I take one week and run off somewhere warm, sandy and sunny. This winter hasn't afforded me the time or funds to do so and I'm going a bit stir crazy! (Any warm resorts and spas looking for a review? :)

Have you finally recovered from your Valentine's Day 2010 sugar rush? Have you disposed of the evidence? Remember, the padded heart boxes make great Jewelry Boxes, Recycle, Re-Purpose, and Re-Use.

Did anyone celebrate the Chinese New Year on Sunday? Did you go to a parade? I would love to see your pics if you are willing to share them.

Sunday was also a New Moon (in the sign of Aquarius), I hope you remembered to make a New Moon Wish!

No matter how you may have spent the weekend, Let this week fill you with new promise!

Use 'Today's Words of Inspiration' as a breathing meditation to still your mind, quiet your thoughts and bring in positive energy. As you inhale bring in only positive energy by saying in your mind, I breathe in positive energy (or you can say creative energy if that is what you wish to create more of) and as you exhale, Affirm out loud today 'I embrace possibility!'

Spend some time each day enjoying focused breathing AND soul guided meditative visualization, in doing so, you can bring about amazing, profound and powerful changes in your life.

Visualize yourself manifesting something unique, guided by universal forces that emerge spontaneously from within your soul. Do this at least twice today and see how by taking a moment away from the hectic pace and breathing in positive energy and affirming what you wish to create, your thinking will become different.

Remember, attitude really does determine altitude.

Baby Love!

As many of you remember, I teased about a wonderful product launch I was attending in December last year, but couldn't reveal all the details at the time.

I had the pleasure of attending the U.S. product launch of well known and much loved #1 selling U.K. brand, Tommee Tippee®! I enjoyed the up close and personal opportunity to interact with the folks behind the brand (phenomenal team!), the chance to see the line of products set up for various age groups, there was even a stand up comedian, but the absolute highlight was that beverages (water and green tea ladies, NOT those kind of beverages!) were served from Tommee Tippee® Weaning Cups! It certainly made a room full of moms and bloggers giggle, myself included!

In the last couple of months, there were a lot of 'little butterflies' in my circle between friends and family! All the new babies meant one thing, new recruits in my product testing army! Yes I start them young! I sent out some Tommee Tippee® goodies to the mom's and let the 'wee ones' 'field test' everything.

The report from the troops are all Spectacular! All the mom's had nothing but good things to say, and based on the baby giggles when I speak to them on the phone, Tommee Tippee® products are baby tested, mommy approved and Auntie endorsed! Blogging has put me in the rank of 'favorite' and 'best' Aunt ever, I LOVE IT! (I'll post pics of smiling baby faces as soon as they come in from the field!)

Do you remember how much fun Valentine's Day was when you were a kid? Who got your paper heart back then? Was it your crush? Your BFF? A few 'Besties'?

I got my first paper heart in Kindegarten from a very sweet boy in my class, it was a very bold move for him because he was so shy!

Thursday, February 11, 2010 - Today's Words of Inspiration and Great Giveaways!

Blizzard 2010

The blizzard of snow that blanketed the NorthEast has definitely forced everything to slow to a crawl. There were tons of accidents on the highways, and lots of slips and falls on slippery streets too. While it didn't seem like there was much to pull inspiration from these past few days, last night changed my mind. I heard the sounds of very shrilly laughter, and looked out my window to find some of the children in the building had gone outside to play in the snow. There were snow angels being made, snowmen being built, and the uber childhood snow essential, the snowball fight. There were some intrepid adults joining in the childlike frenzy of fun; and it was a great reminder of making lemonade out of lemons. It was fun watching the children play.

At random times during the day I'd peak out the window and also see delivery men bringing packages or delivering food and thought to myself I felt very grateful to be able to do what I do from home and not have had to be out in that mess! This is the city that never sleeps, and on days like this you still see cars on the road, and people hurrying to and from work. Do we ever slow down? Did you slow down this week? Were you able to work from home? Did you have to brave the storm? For those that were able to stay home, what did you with the extra time at home?

Whether or not the weather slowed you down this week or caused hassles and inconveniences, be grateful that at the end of the day you had the warmth of home and your bed to curl into. Be grateful to have made it home safely, many drivers lost control of their vehicles, or were hit and badly hurt. Be grateful if you don't have the flu, be grateful if you don't have a cold.

Despite a week that seemingly may have been devoid of much inspiration, there was still very much to be grateful for, I hope you experienced the same!

Spend some time each day enjoying focused breathing AND soul guided meditative visualization, in doing so, you can bring about amazing, profound and powerful changes in your life.

Strange combination I know, but trust me they relate, and they do tie in together! Let's start Strong. A Warrior's Heart will help you weather your own personal storms. That's easy to agree with right?

But, Do you know which heart will propel you farther?

It is the heart of service and being of service to others that will advance you. It's similar to the saying 'You catch more flies with honey than with Vinegar'.

See I promised that today's title would come together somehow! But how do you adapt this in your own life? And how do you do this when the energy just isn't there?

I know on the onset it seems like a lot to ask, but if you approach your day from a heart of service, it moves along so much easier.

At work, if you finish your tasks earlier than expected, be of service to an over-whelmed co-worker. When you head off to run errands, ask a home bound neighbor if there is something you could pick up for them. Is the person ahead of you on line at the market a few cents short? Can you help that person?

Do you know a new mom who could use a night out, why don't you offer to watch the little one for her?

Somehow when your heart and spirit are of service, the Universe blesses you with extra energy you didn't think you had.

Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ -There are certain things that still have the ability to bring out the little kid in me, one of my favorite memories of childhood was, is and always will be Hello Kitty®! Wednesday, February 03, 2010 - Today's Words of Inspiration and Great Giveaways!

Surround Yourself with High-Energy People

Today I am directly quoting one of my favorite sources of inspiration, Dr. Wayne Dyer, in the title of today's inspiration and this quote:

"Choose to be in close proximity to people who are empowering, who appeal to your sense of connection to intention, who see the greatness in you, who feel connected to God, and who live a life that gives evidence that Spirit has found celebration through them."

They say tell me who your friends are, and I can tell you who you are! Are you positive and upbeat? Do your friends drag you down? Are they mired in negativity? Worse still, are they 'glass half-empty' types who are not happy until those around them are un-happy too?

I've been actively applying this inspiration to my own life, and highly encourage you to do the same. Surround yourself with people you respect, people you admire, people who are up-lifting. Don't get me wrong, troubles do no pass some of us by and go torment others. Positive people have problems too, they just don't allow those problems to take over their spirits while they are dealing with them. And because they have learned to remain light spirited, to walk in life not just saying but knowing that they are 'too blessed too be stressed' they attract positive people and experiences unto themselves.

You can possess this spirit also! You can actively choose to make yourself optimistic and face each day with renewed enthusiasm or you can allow your problems to keep you mired in un-happiness. If you remain negative and constantly attract more negative people and experiences to you, you can't grow spiritually, emotionally or even physically!

I love Dr. Dyer's words about surrounding yourself with people who see the 'greatness within you', remember this does not mean surrounding yourself with 'yes men' it means surrounding yourself with people who are quicker to point out what you do well and what you have accomplished that is working for you as opposed to those who would rather spend time nit-picking over 'perceived' flaws.

I always feel like I've had a better day when I've spent it in the company of up-lifting people! Seek out your 'uplifting Ursula' today and send the 'negative Nelly's' to voicemail! Let's actively get uplifted! And don't forget to be a source of high energy to those you love today and everyday.
