Wordless Wednesday: Just Checking in from Stonehenge! {#Photos) #HumanNature

OK so technically I'm not really at Stonehenge, but it was fun taking these shots at Rockefeller Center in New York City!

Ugo Rondinone, a Swiss-born, New York Based artist has created a major work of public art for Rockefeller Center, the exhibit, called Human Nature, includes nine colossal stone figures that range in height from 16 to 20 feet and weigh 30,000 pounds EACH. He used rough hewn slabs of bluestone from a quarry in Northern Pennsylvania and gave each figure a distinctive personality. It's like a 'Stonehenge Forest of Giants' whose immovable legs form gateways through which visitors may pass. They run the full length of Rockefeller Plaza in New York City between 49th and 50th Streets. Mostly everyone is familiar with the location because they have watched the annual Christmas Lighting from this very location each holiday. This exhibition is free to the public from April 23rd through July 7th, 2013, so if you are coming into the city anyway for the annual Fourth of July Fireworks you should also take a quick trip here to see the Human Nature Exhibit! Human Nature is presented and sponsored by Nespresso and Tishman Speyer and organized by the Public Art Fund.

What is YOUR Favorite Holiday Tradition? {w/#Photos}

Remember when I mentioned in my December 12th Wordless Wednesday: The Rockefeller Center Holidays 2012 Edition {#Photos} #NewYorkCity that I purposely left one photo from that day out? There was a reason I was holding back on posting that photo which will be revealed today!

One of my favorite holiday traditions was visiting the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City with my Mom! We would usually go to Radio City and then go see the tree! This year I got to visit the Tree twice, once with my mom and also since I was nearby the night of the lighting itself when I left the Hispanicize New York City Meetup.

Aside from our tradition of opening up one present at midnight, seeing the tree is my favorite holiday in New York City traditions!

Wordless Wednesday: The Rockefeller Center Holidays 2012 Edition {#Photos} #NewYorkCity

All things in and around Rockefeller Center in New York City during Holidays 2012! It's one of the most famous holiday trees and I've been visiting the new tree every year since I was a kid!

I have passed this every time I've been in the Rockefeller Center area and never took a picture of it, so I thought I'd snap a pic of it, which I had to do in three shots, see below for what's alongside this on the left and the right! It reads: Wisdom and Knowledge Shall Be The Stability of Thy Times!

I can't believe I've passed this every day and never really stopped to get a good look or a pic until this year!

Even though that's not the happiest face I wanted to get a picture of all three of them, I tried to get them into one shot but the detail would have gotten lost so I seperated them out!

Nabbing this one wasn't easy because of all the foot traffic, but after a few tries, I finally got a shot that I absolutely LOVE!

This statue of Prometheus at Rockefeller Center in New York City is one of the most photographed statues in New York City, especially at this time of year!

I wonder what Message Mercury brings today?

After a long day in the city, a quick rest stop, I liked the perspective of the Angels in front of the tree so I took a shot. There is a special shot from this day I left out from this post for a reason, so there is one more picture from my Rockefeller Center Holiday Tree 2012 that is to come! Stay tuned!
