Christmas in August? I had a chance to celebrate Christmas in August with Hallmark when I attended the BlogHer 2010 Conference in New York City. On a warm, humid evening, Hallmark transformed a beautiful party space into a Christmas Wonderland!

There were themed rooms, a very 'Hunky' santa, Christmas themed Cocktails, and a variety of Hallmark Ornaments, Recordable Storybooks and not just a goodie bag, but a full on goodie box so chock full of goodies, that instead of leaving the party with them, they were mailed to us later!

I am a long time card carrying 'Gold Crown' member Hallmark Fan. I love to give and receive Hallmark Cards and my biggest weakness, their ornaments. We get a new ornament each year. My Christmas tree really could be used in their advertising as a display tree.

My Inner Child

The ornaments all have memories and all bring out my inner child. But I will have to admit that I did have a favorite in my goodie box, it's Hoops&yoyo™! They always make me smile and I was very happy to find a Hoops&yoyo™ ornament in my box, they were given a very prime 'front and center' spot on my tree this year!

Green Eggs and Ham™

I remember my mom would read me Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss when I was a little girl and have to admit I was also very much delighted to find this ornament in my goodie box! This ornament is by By Julie Forsyth. Dimensions: 3 1/4" W. First in a Series

I have quite a bit of ornaments that are a series, and each year I always look forward to finding out what is being released in a series I'm collecting. Start a new ornament tradition with this first-in-the-series stained glass window ornament. Each ornament in this new series will feature a stained glass window with a unique design. Glad Tidings - 1st in the Windows of Faith series

Glad Tidings is the 1st in the Windows of Faith series, and I already know I will be collecting the series! Years ago I taught the Special Education students in my church and I attended a conference and during the breakout session there was an expo hall with vendors and I bought a set of Stained Glass Ornaments that I absolutely treasure. They have to be placed very strategically however to truly catch the light. When I saw this ornament from Hallmark, that simply plugs into one of the lights on the tree and then illuminates from within, it was absolutely, positively LOVE at first sight. And since I also love watching the annual mass from Rome each year, this series is sure to become one of my favorites!

Bringing the story to life for them in a much more meaningful way. If mom or dad often work late and miss bed time, your children can still hear YOUR voice! Do grandma and grandpa or a favorite aunt or uncle live in another city? Send them the book so they can record their voice reading the story, and then the grandchild or niece/nephew can still hear the voice of the Grandparent, Aunt or Uncle they love!
